Current Location of the
Byron Smith House

[Byron Smith Building]

History

In 1912-1913, three houses were moved to make room for the construction of Skinner Hall and Student-Alumnae Hall. The Byron Smith House, named for its former owner, was originally located where Mary E. Woolley Hall is located today. It was the French language house from 1939-1965. This is its current location at the corner of Morgan Street and Minden Place, and it is used for faculty housing.
