Taking It to the Streets Previous | Next MHC students turn knowledge into action by working with local communitiesCommunity-based learning (CBL) enhances students' understanding of public concerns and fosters their leadership, citizenship, and advocacy skills. An educational initiative that links MHC students with local communities, CBL combines analysis and action, book smarts and street smarts. Supported by the Weissman Center for Leadership and the Liberal Arts, CBL brings together students, faculty, and community organizations to work on projects that provide intellectually rich experiences for students and tangible benefits to the community.
