Dance
Day and night, the campus—and the Five College Consortium—is
dancing. Performances, many of which offer free or reduced-rate
admission to students, range from intimate studio performances to
world-class productions.
The roster of local, national, and international artists who perform
in the Five College area rivals that of Boston. Recent performances
have included:
- the Nutcracker by the Saint Petersburg Ice Ballet
- Fubuki Daiko: Japanese Drumming and Dance
- Tap Dogs Rebooted
If you’re a dancer, your opportunities are increased by the College’s participation in the Five College Dance Department,
the second largest dance department in the country. Renowned for its
extensive studio offerings, the department offers more than 100
courses. MHC and the other four colleges produce several dance
productions every year. Most auditions are open to all Five College
students.
