Video Conferencing
Purpose/Acceptable Use: Mount Holyoke College's video conferencing facility (Librry 418) is a service that supports the college's curriculum by connecting, via IP only, with other institutions, speakers, and other persons or groups related to the college and its community.
Priority: Scheduling priority will be given to those events that most directly support the mission and curriculum of the college. The facility will be made available to the faculty, administrative and departmental offices and to student groups for co-curricular events.
Support Structure/Training: Staff support for this technology is available during classroom instruction meeting times. Conferencing equipment is designed for faculty and staff to be self-sufficient users. Support system staff will provide equipment maintenance and first-time user training for faculty/staff or designated faculty/staff assistant(s).
Scheduling: Reservations for the facility may be made by calling Media Resources (x3162) or by sending email to vidcon-l@mtholyoke.edu.
At least 7 days notice is required and a test call is recommended as early as possible. The service is available on a first-come-first-served basis.
Fee Structure: Any fees accrued outside of standard connection charges for curriculum related and co-curricular events will be charged back to the department or organization. Fees may include remote site rental or service charges, and technician fees.
