Accessing Databases Remotely (from off-campus)

Almost all library databases are accessible to MHC users from off-campus, thanks to the EZ-Proxy server, a system for authenticating our users.

Follow the links to the resources on our Library web pages (e.g. the E-Resources A-Z list and the Research Guides) so that you will have seamless access on-campus, and easy-to-authenticate access off-campus. When asked for a user ID and password, enter your regular MHC account ID and password. The EZ-Prozy server will then make the connection. No special software or password needed!

Note: This service is only available to current  MHC students, staff, faculty, and those who have emeritus status.

Please note that a few databases have special restrictions. For example, Chemical Abstracts via STNEasy is available only after 5pm and on weekends, while Chemical Abstracts via SciFinder Scholar is available 24 hr/day, but on-campus only.
