• My summer research at Emory University's Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURE). My research was of Triassic Crayfish Burrows based on burrow diameter from Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. It was a wonderful experience and helped me decide what i want to do with the rest of my life. Some pictures from the trip can be seen below.

  • A study of the diversity of the local Crayfish Orconectes rusticus found in our own Stony Brook using Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analysis.

  • A study of the plant life of the Florida Everglades using AFLP analysis.


    (The picture used in the title banner was taken my first evning in Petrified Forest National Park. There was an amazing double rainbow, and because of the flat area we were standing in, we could see both rainbows touch down on both ends. it was one of the most beautiful things i've ever seen.)
